This photo is based on a series of lines of trees, getting less and less determinate as they recede from the picture plane. Since a child, I've loved misty forests, but until I got a boat out onto the lake, I never seemed to get sufficient distance to pull these lines of misty trees into one picture without other distractions. The idea sat around for 30 years, until I got in my boat and did it.
