Sometimes I set out to take a particular image. This one was a long time in planning. I wanted a full moon over the centre of the Remarkables with snow on the peaks. One year after the initial idea, I got the shot by flying down to Queenstown in winter during a full moon phase and clear weather forecast. I love the golden pathway of light across the waters of the mountains. The photo then took itself.
