Teej is just one of my favourite festivals that consume so many days in the yearly cycle of the Nepali people. It is a three day women's festival where groups of women will converge on the temple to give offerings and prayers and to dance and share stories. After asking permission, I attached myself to one group, giving them many polaroid photos of their children and followed them around during the day, delighting in the red whirling compositions that appeared before me.
